I recently was asked by a guest for a Sushi recommendation in Uptown. I can’t believe that I haven’t already written about this place because it’s a hidden gem and only two blocks from Bailey’s Uptown Inn. It’s called Yutaka Sushi Bistro. I personally am not that adventurous when it comes to Sushi but even the basics are stand outs here like the Spicy Tuna Gyozas. Everything is very fresh and the flavors are delicate but balanced. My guest raved about the Oysters but I’ve never heard a bad word about any of the dishes. Another guest from New York said it was the only place he would eat sushi outside of NYC. The service is also first rate.
Here’s what the folks at yelp have to say.
The only downsides are parking, which can be tough any place in Uptown, and it’s tiny. On weekends there can be a wait but it’s worth it.
Also this just in starting on Friday November 18 Yutaka will be adding freshly made noodle dishes to the regular lunch menu on Fridays only; soba, udon, and ramen selections.
